Jay Lazaro

Head Volleyball Coach

Jay Lazaro has been Head Volleyball Coach for Horizon Christian High School since 2018.  Coach Jay is a two time Lewis and Clark League - Coach of the Year (2019 & 2020).  He led the Hawks to the Elite Eight - 3A State playoffs and played in the Lewis and Clark league championships all five seasons. Growing up in Cupertino California, Coach Jay played volleyball, basketball, and tennis.  He is avid chess player and spends time playing with the elderly once a week. His coaching career began in 2007, and included stops at Mission College, Sherwood Volleyball Club, St. Francis Catholic School, Empower Volleyball Club, and National Scouting Report - coaching nationwide to help athletes pursue collegiate volleyball careers. Coach Jay is married to Ana Lazaro, and they have two beautiful children Keith and Jazzy.
