ASB & STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Fostering leadership is essential to student development at Horizon Christian. Through dedicated programs and resources, we empower students to grow as leaders. The ASB Officers, representing the entire student body, act as a vital link between students and administration, contributing to the planning of major school events. Collaborating with Class Officers, they collectively form the voting members of Hawks House, responsible for maintaining and modifying the school constitution. Additional opportunities abound in programs like National Honor Society, DECA, Literary Magazine, athletics, and fine arts.
ASB AND STUDENT COUNCIL
Middle school Student Government allows students to actively participate in school affairs through roles like President, Vice President, Treasurer, Activities Coordinator, and Publicist, elected in April/May. The ASB Officers collaborate with the Activities Director and Vice Principal, engaging in planning monthly pep rallies, events, and activities. They manage the student store, conduct tours, and provide valuable feedback to administrators. This experience fosters leadership skills and offers a balance between leadership and creating enjoyable opportunities for the student body.
